That’s not a picture of Ted K.—it’s Mike S. Even still, Ted completed yesterday’s WOD in his hotel, and in the absence of a treadmill, he ran the 400m intervals up and down the hotel hallway. You can read about it here. As a result of his “Tedication,” we’re naming this benchmark WOD in his honor. You can earn naming recognition too by going above and beyond the normal efforts. Of course, benchmark workouts are always more intense than most others, so be prepared to be cursed by many over the course of the day. We think it’s worth it.

Wow – I was going to take a rest/travel day (worked out Mon-Thur) but in light of the name I had to try. Limited time, and in warm-ups could not get 30# to full extension by 4th thruster, so did 17:54.95 (25#), broke into sets of five, at 30 count got confused and added one last set of 5 to be sure. Nobody needs to curse me because David C. has enough Ted-specific curses for everybody.

I warmed up with 25 and 35 lbs. I did the actual workout with 45 lb dumbbells. My time was 26:10. Jeff W.
17:42 as Rx’d
18:30 with 20 lb dumbbells.
17:48 with 40-lb. dumbbells. For 17:46 of that, I was crying on the inside. My friend Christy did the WOD in 15:53.
