So proud of you guys! Bravo!
Team Crossfit Miles-Per-Hour, I had a blast with you all. Maybe it was the lack of sleep, maybe it was the nervous anxiety brought on by the bear attacks (poke em in the eyes!), but I haven’t laughed that hard in a long time. There might or might not have been running involved…can’t recall…what day is it? Whatever went down, I hope to do it again with you all next year.
Van #1, thanks for an awesome Ragnar experience! I had a fantastic time, and especially enjoyed our cocktail code names, dodging ghost attacks while running through the Antietam graveyards at 1am and the comforting recurrence of “Edge of Glory”. Can’t wait to do it again next year.
Yours in gnats and unexpectedly challenging hills,
Bucket
Fellow Ragnites, and Van 2ers, thanks so much for a great weekend. Loved the experience, from start to finish (even the runs!) and can’t wait for Round 2 (Napa, right???).
And Van 1, thanks for breaking in the hotel for us. Trash talk redacted.
Guys–I had SO much fun running Ragnar with all of you! Who knew that running in pouring rain, mud, darkness, extreme fog, up (and down) giant hills and not really sleeping for two days could be so much fun!?
Van 1–you guys were great! We didn’t get eaten by bears or attacked by ax-wielding crazy people while running through the woods. And we even got to eat lunch in West Virginia. 😉
And yes, nine-mile runs–Bates had TWO of them!
Echoing everyone else – had an awesome time and would love to do again (and I’ll try to steer clear of Saturday conference calls). Special thanks to LB for stellar organization, Mony and Katie for uber-reliable driving and navigation, Van 2 for being chill and supportive without fail, and Van 1 for the Homestead Inn.
And not only were Bates’ first two legs 9.4 and 9.1 miles, he threw down a 6:30 pace on the first one for our fastest leg of the entire relay.
Powerful and inspiring stuff, team! Congratulations!
awesome work guys!!!
We sneak under 30 hours with an official time of 29:58:18!
