MPH will be closed on Saturday, December 10 for Riot recovery. We will resume a normal workout schedule on Monday, December 12.
Thank you to everyone who came out on Friday night for the third annual MPHoliday Riot! We had an amazing time, and we hope that you did too.
Following Tuesday’s “Fran” workout, we immediately called for Sidra C., Joe P., Drew P. and Mike S. to do more. In Thursday’s Barbell Team workout, they rose to the challenge following an hour of weightlifting that included max attempts at the clean and jerk. With the support of more than a dozen other Teams athletes, Sid improved on her lifetime “Fran” record by almost three minutes, Drew improved on his by two minutes, and Mike improved on his by nearly one minute—earning their “Notorious” t-shirts in the process. All deserve immense credit.
There is a level of excellence understood here, for coaches and athletes alike. Our standards are high—you shouldn’t want it any other way—for purpose and action, not outcome. Remember to give yourself, for yourself, so that we can all be better.
