    Late to the game, I know, but my entry into the movie-themed WOD is:

    Vision Quest – It ain’t the 6 minutes, it’s what happens in that 6 minutes.

    AMRAP

    6 minutes
    -double unders

    1 minute rest

    6 minutes
    -towel pullups (substitute for peg board climb; rope climb is probably a better sub, but we don’t have)

    1 minute rest

    6 minutes
    -pushups

    1 minute rest

    6 minutes
    -weighted step ups; 24 inches, 55 lbs/35 lbs (substitute for telephone pole bleacher climbs)

      As a long-time fan of high-school wrestling (don’t ask), I’ve always thought Vision Quest was an under-appreciated movie. Nice homage you’ve put together here.

      I’m working on a tribute to Karate Kid that may include a one-leg overhead squat (OH Pistol?) to simulate The Crane. Stay tuned.

        ooh Katie and I had also chatted about a karate kid WOD. We also had pistols and single arm KB swings (wax on wax off).

    the “toronto condo WOD”:

    5 rounds: 1 min thrusters @ 15lb dumbbells + 1 min crunches. no rest between rounds.

    completed 83 thrusters; didn’t count crunches.

    sorry i’ll miss the excitement on saturday… have a great time all!
