    OTB: 4 rounds + … + 9 pull-ups

    (subs: 20 push-ups for 5 hspu, ~18″ bench for sls, pull-ups were strict and on thick playground bar – definitely the slow link, down to singles in every round)

    Formal thank you to MPH coaches and community for making me strong enough to deadlift a massive solid wood dresser/chest today. The guy I sold it to looked skeptical when I offered to move it with him then he just stood there shocked when I deadlifted it onto a cart overpowering his end (btw he was about 6’2” 200# guy and I weighed in at 127# this morning) … I would have NEVER been able to do that when I started here!!!!

    I’m still a weakling compared to the other impressive people at MPH but cant wait to see the gains over the course of the year:)

      hampton inn “fitness” room, owensboro, KY, self-proclaimed BBQ capitol of the western world. (bbq mutton, anyone? hell yes pls thx)
      amazingly, there was a chinup bar here: a big, fat, chromed, gnarly-knurled hand-eater of a chinup bar.
      i am surprised at how hard it is to find a chinup bar! playgrounds rarely have them. wtf?
      they also had my favorite piece of equipment, a big green stability ball.
      i used it for some crunches postwod. ah, the memories! :^)

    CrossFit Renovation STILL Ongoing
    as many rounds as possible in 20 minutes:
    5x shoulder press @ 70-lbs.
    10x prom/assisted single-leg squat, alternating
    15x strict bodyrow

    6 rounds + ..3 strict bodyrows

    Strict bodyrows were definitely the weak link here, but I can’t say that they’re worse since I left DC – I don’t think that I was ever very good at bodyweight strict pulls of any kind. I need the kip. I also tore my hand on the cheese-grater bar on the Smith machine.

    Also, I’m not sure if doing s.l.s. to a bench is “prom” or “assisted”; in my case I suspect it’s both. They’re getting better, though.
