    Meanwhile, at CrossFit Peachtree…

    Back Squats:
    5x 45lbs, 5x 65lbs, 5x 85lbs, 5x 105lbs

    Followed by 10minute AMRAP of Box Jumps
    183 (sub, step ups) on 30″ box

    Followed by 8x 20 sec plank holds w/ 10sec rest

    Our hero went light on the back squats since it was the first time he’s done them since February (!).

    What will tomorrow bring? Stay tuned to the same MPH channel, same MPH place, and same MPH time!

    12 body rows

    65-70-75 (they said not to push the weight, so I didn’t)

    Then

    1000m row

    5 rounds of:
    5 push press (95/75)
    10 box jumps (30/24)

    800m run

    16:03 (65lbs)

    First time doing 24″ box jumps in a workout–felt good! Definitely a tough workout!

    did yesterday’s wod at the track in Maine.
    when i arrived, there was some dude doing 300’s so fast he was peeling the lines off the track. he didn’t look like your typical runner though- he was a decathlete for Boston University. watching him tear it up was educational and inspiring.

    score: 3.45 (34.78 [7th run]-31.33 [2nd run])

    the ample rest gave me an opportunity to self-coach a little. i even tried to strategize – take off fast, chill and then go nuts at the end. needless to say, that method resulted in my slowest sprints. i did learn that i need to take off fast (duh), open up my stride (duh) and open up my lungs (duh).
