    If you have not received formal split jerk instruction from either John or myself, please practice ONLY the push jerk today. We want to make sure that everyone is safe in this new movement.

      I know, I know—we’ve been working on this for months.

      Believe me, after this morning. he definitely knows. (For those wondering what the hell we’re talking about, Baykay and I made a new friend this morning. Some guy—probably the guy from India—decided to coach her about dropping weights when I left in between sessions. He says it’s bad for the back. Go figure. I tracked him down and set him straight. It didn’t get weird until he said that he wanted to learn how to Olympic lift and asked for my card. Just another Tuesday.)
