MPH will be closed from Thursday, December 24 through Sunday, December 27. We will resume a normal workout schedule on Monday, December 28.
Holiday cards inevitably get thrown out, so instead, here is our eco-friendly message: we wish you a peaceful, happy holiday.
While you are deluging yourself in yuletide cheer and enjoying the company of family and friends, take a moment to reflect on the gift that you gave yourself this year. Appreciate how far you have come, and the path taken to arrive here. Your achievements, large and small, are due to your commitment, time and efforts at MPH. Recognize these accomplishments, and begin to look forward to the coming year. Finally, give yourself the gift of rest.
Over the holidays especially, we believe it is important for those who are able to offer what they can to members of the community who may not be as fortunate. Our food and clothing drive for Bread for the City, organized by Mike S., was a tremendous success—thank you, Mike. Continuing our annual tradition, and in lieu of tangible gifts for our athletes, we have also made a donation on the collective behalf to the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. If you are unfamiliar with this organization, “the mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys each year, and distribute those toys as gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.”
Thank you for all of your hard work and continued support. It is truly our pleasure to work with such a fine group of people—athletes. We look forward to continuing toward your health, fitness and athletic goals with vigor, consistency and success in the coming year.
Rest—for the next four days. Happy Holidays.
