***Important Announcement***
We have added a Workout of the Day class at 8a for this Saturday, January 30. The class is loaded in MINDBODY, so please register as normal. If there is enough interest in this class, we will look to keep it in the rotation.
three rounds for time:
50-meter lunge
100m standing long jump
200m run
Sweet pantaloons today, Ralph. Really nice. Supple, stretchy material, moisture wicking no doubt, clean, slimming lines, solid inseam—not too long, not too short. And that logo: powerful. Inspirational. Matronly. And all that for only $375. Money well spent. Do those come in camo?
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to feed the children and save the whales. It’s a good thing StuLu is here to talk me down from the ledge.
xoxo

Ralph XOXO

Jeff’s plank hold: 8:40.
Jeff,
Nice job!! I held the record for what, maybe an hour! I think I have 9 plus in me though. Let’s keep it going brother…maybe we can make this as legendary as the Mike and Rob pull up competition.
Dave O.
That’s ridiculously awesome.
This has been a great week some great PRs and extra efforts. I guess awesome is just in the everyday at MPH.
Definitely awesome, Jeff. The definition of hard *core.*
I agree with Mayra—another great week: much learned, much accomplished, and many laughs.

Great work on the planks Jeff and Dave O.

see you at the box!
Ralph,
I am so thrilled that you have discovered the joy of Lulu Lemon. This is a journey that you must embrace with gusto as you will soon reap the benefits of well-designed spandexy fabrics that compliment your toned self while avoiding unpleasant chafing.
By the way; have you noticed how more spright and sunny you feel in LuLu colors…it certainly brightens my day!
It is exciting to know that yet another MPH athlete will join me now for LuLu shopping sprees. I must ask: Are you as excited about the new spring collection as I? If you like I will introduce you to the lovely ladies at the P Street location…they are happy to hold things for you as they come in so as to avoid the devastating result of them not having your size amidst the new collection. (By the way…the spring line is coming in now so we should plan an afternoon together there…and if we go on Sunday we can watch the girls doing a yoga class while shopping.)
Embrace the LuLu in you Ralph. Relish this trendsetting moment in your life as you step out ahead of the fashion curve. It is not our fault that John is still stuck in the “oh-so 2007” world of camo board shorts. And when the others eventually come to Lulu Lemon in droves we will be well in front…on to a new line…a new look (there are rumors that Louis Vuitton is coming out with an athletic line..which is good as there will be an easy transition to my name becoming StuLouis).
Be Proud Ralph. Stand Tall. And stroke your pectoral region as you feel your supple skin ripple in the delight of a fine garment indeed.
StuLu
The big question is, do the LuluLemon pants fall down less than Lucy pants? I love the low rise look, but they tend to slip down and therefore I spend time hiking up my pants instead of say, broad jumping.
Ivy,
I find that if you cut the drawstring in the middle you can tighten and synch at will. I agree, it is a common complaint of early LuLu Lemon devotees but I learned this technique from a lovely young lady in the Newport Beach shop who gave me this tid-bit as a little “insider secret.”
StuLu
Ralph, I think you have made a friend for life. JW
StuLu I look forward to our shopping date. We have to find John just the right style. John does look good camo. Being from NYC his black t-shirt always does something for me.
To my 6am Brothers and Sisters. Thank you for putting up with all chatter. It is honor to share the morning with you all. Thank you for getting my day going great. I feel very lucky to share sweat, friendship, laughs and GREAT WORKOUTS with you all.
Deep thanks to John, Mel and Rebk for making it happen for us all everyday.
CrossFit MPH is wonderful community and I am honored and lucky to be part of it.
Ralph XOXO!!!
I can’t tell you all how excited I am that you guys are FINALLY embracing Lululemon, even if you are, well, boys. Hey LuRalph and StuLu, we should see if they can sponsor our gym. That would be awesome. Maybe we can get our Sectionals t-shirts printed on Lululemon. I think John just lit himself on fire.
Seriously, though, Lulu is high quality. Ivy—while comparative in price to Lucy (or maybe slightly more expensive), there is no comparison in quality. They will NOT fall off your butt. I’ve had my Lulu pants for three years now, and they haven’t lost their shape at all. AND, if you break them, they will fix them for free (I once tore a hole in my $100 pants, so I brought them into the store, and they had them repaired by a tailor).
The only negative to Lulu is the shear expensiveness of the product. So, once again, we should consider sponsorship.
Melody
Mel,
I will talk to the lovely ladies when I am there this weekend to view the new spring line and to pick up a few more pairs of my favorite underwear. You never know…a sponsorship may be possible.
I agree with you Melody, the Lucy line is a cheap impostor to the brilliance that is LuLu Lemon. It is like trying to compare the work-a-day fashion of Moschino to the genius of Maison Martin Margiela. I shudder at the thought.
StuLu
all this talk makes me want to go shopping… and according to their website’s “shop by color” section, they have not 1, but about 8 different shades of pink! 🙂
Jen I agree, I’ve never checked out Lulu Lemon before (I just heard StuLu gasp). The promise of not having to worry that I will moon everyone during doubleunders is drawing me in.
I think the gulf green is the same shade as my chucks, perhaps this would be to much of one color…maybe the snorkel blue.
StuLu, if not a sponsorship a group discount. Do they make valentines undies for everyone to wear at the cupid undie run? 😀
I am loving the hats!
OH MY GOD! I just went online to see what was new at the LuLu Lemon website…
Check it out: http://shop.lululemon.com/Classic_T_II/pd/c/720/np/720/p/1757.html
It is a LuLu Lemon Hockey Dude T-Shirt!!! I just ordered two.
StuLu
all this lulu lemon talk!
maybe some of you’ve noticed that most of my workout clothes are from the thrift store. hell, most of the time i dont even know what it says on my shirt. frankly, i’d rather spend my $ on salmon and young coconuts!
and BTW i am DYING to start wodding with my arms again, starting wed with scaled weights if all stays on sched. and when i am fully back, i need to dominate my namesake wod asap.
keep squattin’ !
