Sure, we know we posted this picture a few weeks ago, but there were none left in the vault of both members of J2, Joanna L. and Jason H.

Unfortunately (for MPH), they head West at the end of the week. Jason and Jo, we are sad to see you go! Safe travels, and good luck in Texas.

–Melody, Rebekka and John

The Joanna part of the workout is much more difficult than my part.

Holy shit, Jo and Jason are a couple? I had no idea…and all this time I have been flirting with her. I can’t believe it….why didn;t anyone tell me?

Well, I guess I will turn my complete attention to flirting with Mel. I think she is single…unless I am completely ignorant.

    ……………………….

Hey you two…I am trying to get back from my latest travels to be there on Thursday at 5:00. Hope you are still around for one last WOD together. I will wear a headband in Jason’s honor. It’s the least I can do as a tribute to the blood, sweat, tears….and even more blood…that you have given each day on Big Red.

You have both been amazing to be with. I mean this sincerely. Dare I say that I will miss you more than you will miss me. And I can’t wait to find out which box you are at in Dallas so that I can really make that statement ring true.

StuLu – Wherever you go…I just might be there.

    Stu-
All this time, I thought you were flirting with me.

Mel, Bkay, and John, thanks for the workout dedicated to both of us. When we told Vida globo-gym that we were leaving town, they charged us $50. Although paying the money may be preferable to completing the workout.

      I don’t understand, J. I gave you 10 muscle-ups and 100 pull-ups. What’s the prob—oh right, everything else.

    J&J Good luck in Texas…

On an equally pleasant note as the J2 tomorrow, and with the blessings of Sir John, I’m now confirmed for the MCM!! 26.2 miles? I ran one on Monday, and if I can count to one, I can count to 26 (and change).

This will be fun. Sign me up for the first available workshop!

Darn it. I am taking a rest day today, but I would love to do the J2 WOD. We will miss you both. You are an awesome part of the MPH community, and don’t forget that you will continue to be so when you head to Texas. Go show ’em how we do.

J2 – Good luck out west!

If we eliminate the overhead lunges, I would advocate making this the official WOD of MPH. Maybe substitue rope climbs for the lunges? Even better. We could do it once a week.

It’s funny you mention the greatness of this workout, Rob. When I told Meggers it was “going to be a good one” last night, we had the following exchange:

      Meg: Would I like it?
Me: Probably not. But, I would.
Meg: Why? Does it have lots of pull-ups?
      Me: Well…
Meg: And does it have lots of deadlifts?
      Me: Well…

Anyway, apparently B-kay was hungry this morning and ate your score. Any idea what your time was?

I think it was around 26:30. The muscle-ups wrecked my pullups. But this is a small sacrifice for the official MPH WOD.

Since Joanna and I are leaving, J2 should definitely be a weekly event at MPH.

Joanna and I did a trial run of the J2 workout last night a VIDA. We received some strange looks from the clientele, but the workout was pretty easy (for Joanna at least).

      Jason, Jason, Jason…

You did a trial run at the “Globo” across the street last night. Outstanding. This afternoon, I’m going to see what happens when someone (B-kay) tries to overhead lunge with one of the 100-pound plates. If all goes well, one will be waiting for you when you get here tonight.

Actually, that’s a terrible idea. In fact, this is all a terrible idea. I’m not sure at what point I thought asking you to flip yourself up on the rings 10 times, do 100 pullups (read: rematch with “Big Red”) and lunge with something heavy overhead was a good idea. If anyone has a spare helmet (preferably something Army-like), I’d like to borrow it tonight for Jason.

We might have an ambulance hang out in front of the box from 5p to 6p tonight. I’m sure that’s affordable.

    Jason and Joanna,

The few times that I’ve gotten to work out with ya’ll (get used to it) has been great. You were both supportive and inspirational. Things that come to mind are Joanna’s first pull-up and 100 KB swings in a row (yeah that happened) and Jason just flying through the pull-ups… then he started kipping. Game over.

p.s. Coach I did the lunges as RX’d.
