I looked at this workout and thought: “That’s a ton of overhead lunges and a long overhead carry. This workout is going to be terrible.” Then I saw that it was two rounds. . . .

I amend my previous statement because I misread the WOD and there are no overhead lunges. This reduced the terribleness of this WOD, but not enough to eliminate its overall life-draining effect.

Rob, great job finishing this morning. Although, to be fair, with your knees buckling on that last carry, it sort of looked like you were doing overhead lunges…

This WOD was surprisingly more fun than I anticipated.

I had to google this “Say Anything” thing as I had no idea why John Cusack was appearing as the MPH Poster Boy Of The Day. Imagine my concern given that he recently starred in “2012…The Movie.”

I am desperately trying to find some connection to the posted WOD. Wikipedia is useless.

WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED HERE WHILE I WAS GONE!!!??? I feel as if I am lost and naked on a street in Kinshasa.

I will not be back in time for this craziness. Flight lands at 9:00PM. But, I am coming home at last. Thus, I would really appreciate a bit of homey normality on Thursday.

God, what’s next: A Carrot Top WOD?

Ah, StuLu. Welcome back, my traveling friend. We can’t wait to see you tomorrow.

Today’s workout was inspired by a particular event with the 7a group a couple of weeks ago. There is more, but that explanation must suffice for now.

However, in an attempt at your “normal” and to show that, in fact, nothing has changed, I’ll leave you with this: you’ll get what I give you, you’ll like it and you’ll thank me when it’s done. There—feel better? Everything is going to be fine, I promise.

Now’s also a good time to mention that I’ll accept ideas for other movie-themed workouts, complete with soundtracks.

Really—we missed you in Ohio last weekend and look forward to having you back, Sir.

      John

Ran a 5k at work for part of Armed Forces Week. 30:27. 9:47 m/m. A PR for me! 🙂 Sorry I’m missing today’s workout. Can I put in a request for a Pretty in Pink WOD? hehe.

    Boondock Saints WOD:

“The question is not how far. The question is, do you possess the constitution, the depth of faith, to go as far is as needed?” – Il Duce

Not sure what exactly this one would entail, but I think a heavy complex of some sort. And the format would be AMRAP, but like the WOD we did a couple weeks ago where you don’t know what the time limit is.
