StuLu – I didn’t know who Ronnie James Dio was, RIP, so I read his bio this morning. I would love to hear some of those early Ventures-like instrumentals where he plays trumpet!
Ted,
Dio is, and always will be, The Godfather of Metal. I fear he died young as he rocked too hard. He sang songs of wildebeest and angels. He has even soared on the wings of a demon.
Some have wondered why my hair seems to be so often standing on end…well, it is a result of a Dio concert in LA in 1985 – I was standing near one of the speakers. It has never been the same since.
I fear the world will never truly rock as hard again.
With the permission of MPH I would like to play a DIO tribute on the exceptional sound system during the 5:00PM WOD.

~~Draft Super Mario WOD~~
3 Rounds*
Medicine Ball Bounce
Squat jump (hit the “?”)
200 m sprint (oh look you have a star)
now how do we shoot fire or fly? Discuss…
*cuz everyone knows you have to hit the boss 3 times to get to the next level
[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nuh6eaj-cTw&hl=en_US&fs=1&]
I don’t know much about Mario Brothers, but I might suggest Wallball instead of med ball slams and maybe add box jump 18,20,24 inches in sequence (So it would look like Three rounds 21 wallball, 21 squat jump, 7 18,20,24 box jump, and I might make it a 200 m. run sandwich. Start with the sprint end with the sprint.
Or 400 m. run.
Thanks for the help today Steve. You rock!
Thanks to everyone for making the paleo potluck such a fun party. I loved all the food and am still eating it. And a very special thanks to Sean M, not only did he take on (and successfully manage) the role of grill master, but also went on a MASSIVE beer run. The fruits of which my roommates are still enjoying. They say you’re welcome back anytime Sean 🙂
I have been cleaning up dishes and Tupperware. Over the next few days I will leave them at the box, so keep a eye out for your stuff.

I imagined the Paleo Potlucks to involve everyone sitting around in a circle while singing Kumbaya, basting young goat, and worshipping coconuts. I had no idea that there was beer involved. When is the next one????
StuLu
Furthermore, you’ll be happy to know I had absolutely no say in the soundtrack.
It was an awesome party. Thanks for hosting and organizing!
StuLu,
Honestly, there was a kumbaya moment—guitars and singing, but no coconut or goat. I do have the pictures to prove it.
Thanks, Sakar. It was a great time!
Melody
Went to Sakar’s for lunch postwod today. The leftover’s are now gone – down my pie hole without a trace along with Sakar’s roommate’s fish- thank you! And who made those balls? They went down smooth. Hopefully we will have another PPL when I don’t have to work, I was sorry to miss it.
And Matt, anytime – really.
keep squattin’
