max power row (watts, ≤ 10 strokes) +
tabata row* (calories)
+ max power row (watts, ≤ 10 strokes)

*One Tabata round is eight rounds of 20 seconds of maximum work, followed by 10 seconds of rest.

This workout is scored by both the highest wattage displayed for each max row and by the lowest number of calories rowed for the eight-set Tabata round.

Andrew Killion, owner of District CrossFit, is a rower/rowing coach. One time, we talked about rowing for watts. So, he wants credit for today’s workout. You know what? He’s a good guy, and we’ll give it to him. Officially:

What!?!?! No Courtesy of Andrew Killion? I’m shocked…SHOCKED to find this kind of plagiarism at MPH. You KNOW that was my idea John. Consider yourselves uninvited to future Hooverball Tournaments. I’ll take me and my 5 athletes and play a round robin…

Understood, Milk. We apologize for programming a workout with rowing in it and not giving you credit. While we’re at it, though, I would like credit on your site for Saturday’s hooverball and today’s thrusters, and probably whatever you have programmed for the rest of the week, too. Cool? Cool.

Thanks again for hosting on Sunday, Sir. We had a blast. And remember, your mats will smell like booze only for another week or two.

      John

But it’s likely the pork smell will linger for months.

    That’s more like it.

When I get my 200# snatch I’ll let everyone know that John Main and I once conversed about the Snatch. So through him I have strength. Amen.
