Unfortunately (for MPH), Mike and Sara D. head North this summer to the real windy city, Boston, MA. Their last workout with us is tomorrow, but we had to make sure the 6a crew got in on this fun. Mike, instigator of The Great Wall-Ball-Burpee Debacle of 2010, has been with us nearly since we opened, and Sara joined us about four months ago. They are a positive energy in our gym and will be missed greatly, especially by the 6a and 5p gangs. Safe travels, and good luck in Boston.

Dicksons- I had no idea you were leaving us! I hate that I wasn’t there today. I have really enjoyed working out with you both. More importantly, I’ve enjoyed getting to know you. Best wishes in all your future endeavors.

Sara, Mike, it’s been a real pleasure and you’ve been essential to our community – you will be missed but remembered with every future OHS, pull-up and box jump!

      Hey Coach,

Does my time recorded for the wod take into account that I started 4:30 after the start of the clock? I followed Rob on the 115ib bar. If it does take that into account then no problem. Frankly, I was so focused on perfect pull-ups today I honestly didn’t even notice my finish time. Thanks.

    Mike and Sara,
It has been a pleasure getting to know you! Best of luck in Boston. Keep in touch.

Also, big thank you to Mel, BK, and everyone from 7AM who helped me make it through this WOD. Jeremy, thanks for focusing me on the OHS, especially. I was looking a DNF in the face before you told me to take my time.

This WOD was great! Mel, John & BK – thanks so much for designing a WOD that showed me just how far I’ve come. I’ll never be able to thank you enough for helping me get there. Your tireless dedication to the progress of each and every MPH athlete is really astounding, and that’s coming from a classroom teacher who knows just how difficult it is to focus on the individual needs of 100 and some different people! Thank you, a million times over, for everything you’ve done for me while I’ve been at MPH.

And thanks so so much to the whole MPH family. It’s truly been amazing to share the experience with you. It’s not an understatement to say that being part of MPH has been truly life-changing for me. I know that the community at MPH — and all the compassion, inspiration and support that people provide each other on a daily basis– is so much of the reason that I am stronger, faster, healthier and happier than I was a few months ago when I started. For that, I’ll always be grateful.

Keep being awesome and kicking ass. I can’t wait to come do a WOD when we visit from Boston.
