Indeed, T. It’s the only way I deadlift.

If you did not start cold today, you can work toward it for the next effort. Experience and consistency establishing good back position (especially in high-volume workouts) determined who had the option of opening that way.

Unfortunately for the evening folks, the cold start goes home with me this afternoon. Next time…

      Nice!

Mark had a good post on Monday about understanding poultry labels. Summary: look for “pasture raised.”

Congratulations T, for setting the new women’s deadlift record at 310-lbs.

In fact, congratulations are in order for the entire 6a group today, for a clean sweep—everyone set a new personal best. I crunched the numbers, and if my math is correct (it is), as a group of 14 athletes, you:
–lifted 445 pounds more than your previous personal bests, a 13 percent increase
–lifted an average of 32 pounds above your previous personal best per athlete

That is an incredible feat, and those are enormous numbers attached to that effort. Well done, everyone.
