Nice video. I was great seeing the personalities of the box gather for the biggest personality on his last day before he joined Crossfit Balance, I mean Crossfit Annapolis.

O.K. I admit it. I have been lurking here. Hana and I were even thinking of driving in for T’s party last night but the wealth of boxes to still unpack had to get done as I am on my way out tonight for two weeks. I left Hana with the house, the keys, my checkbook, four contractors starting on Monday, and the instructions that I want to come home and be blown off my feet with a completely completed castle. I think she muttered something about my “not coming home at all” but I am sure she was just kidding.

It has been a hell of a week. Settled on the DC condo – moved out, settled on the Annapolis house – moved in. All this in 36 grueling hours. Lesson for moving #1: Do it in the spring or fall. My WOD’s have consisted of sweating my ass off for the past four days…gypsy style.

Have not started at Crossfit Annapolis yet. Will do when I return. I am just not ready to begin dating again.

It has been a sad week for us. Both of us are taking this a bit harder than we imagined. We keep telling ourselves we are close – but it feels as if we are a million miles away. Kinley is happy though…and is finally able to run around like a child.

The first night I laid in bed and could not sleep because of the immense noise created by those damn crickets. Who knew that they could be so loud! I was missing the screeching trucks, the sirens, the yells of the 6:00AM group running down Church St. Mostly though I just laid there and looked at the seven boxes of LuLu Lemon clothing that had yet to be unpacked and felt sad. They were a constant reminder of how much I was missing the “best hour of the day.”

The video was wonderful. It was a joy to see the faces again. And I was amazed at the speed in which I suddenly was doing thrusters and pull-ups. Also, how little I had to say that day in comparison to every other day. This was the first time I had taken a stage and froze. A result of Fran gone berserk and the reality that I was more “affected” by the endness of it all than I let on.

One thing is constant: I am leaving again tonight. I type this from the airport waiting for my flight. Things seem a bit normal here at Dulles. A hello to the bartender I always stop by and see, the check-in lady who always comments on my shirts, even the TSA agent who never fails to laugh at my sample bag of dolls.

So, I will watch this video again from hotels afar to keep in mind my friends. Having it appear here today, after-the-fact, was good medicine for a soft heart. And, It seems that an old girlfriend, Maria Cristina Leon, was wrong indeed when she told me that “you will never know love as you are always leaving.” To that Maria Cristina – I give you MPH.

    StuLu- Curry Wurst Bound.
