Caption contest worthy. Have at it in comments, below.

for time:
9x squat snatch @ 135/95-lbs.
27x unbroken pull-up
8x squat snatch
24x unbroken pull-up
7x squat snatch
21x unbroken pull-up

+ swing debt* @ 55/35-lbs.

*Swing debt accrues in 10 repetition intervals, every time a set of pull-ups is broken. Any swing debt will be completed after the completion of the last set of pull-ups, so as not to preclude intensity. The clock does not stop until your swing debt is completed.

This workout is scored by both the time and swing debt.

T’s comment is the best so far, but I am sure more are coming. So looking forward to reading more comments from my gym “friends.”

Just signed up for the Mid-Atlantic Hopper challenge. Actually, I’m on the recently expanded waiting list. There are about 35 more spots for those interested.

Ok, true story: Mel and I just saw “the rest” of that picture. We put it up because of the expression on Droz’s face; it was the first thing we said when the photo was taken. Really. We left the barbell in for context. Then, someone from the 8a class helped us out.

We’re really, really sorry, Droz. As for the lot of you, well, at least now we know where your heads are. Sweet Jeebus.

…reading T’s comment, I thought: ok, not a bad start.

Reading Erez’s, I thought: well, maybe he’s just not that funny.

Reading Rob’s, I thought: that doesn’t make any sense—what does StuLu have to do with any of this?

Reading Droz’s, I thought: what is his problem?

Reading Dave O.’s, I thought: you’re not even trying, dude.

Reading Jeremy’s, I thought: uh, wait a minute

      Reading Ivy’s, I thought: uh-oh.

Of course, coaches’ “We didn’t even see it” is the cruelest caption of them all.

Coach, I was laughing my A$$ off last night when this photo went up, and thought, “WOW- John really must know John S. well to know he can take that kind of ribbing.” To Our Dear Droz- I apologize. Very funny, though. Very funny. And for the record, I think T’s comment was the funniest.

    John & Mel,

No apologies necessary. If I hadn’t been “showing off” at how “light” the weight was, I wouldn’t have had that absurd look on my face.

True story – my absolute bottom of the barrel shorts, for obvious reasons.

The rest of you, whether you saw the original picture or not, keep the comments coming (we have a lot of creative folks among us).

Unrelated question…. what are the shorts called that have the compressionish shorts inside them called? I have a pair… but can’t recall. I’m tired of ripping my boxers from squats on days when those are in the wash! Thanks for the help 🙂
