    holy crap this looks fun.

one time on the tonight show, an audience member asked Doc Severinsen (then band leader and trumpeter, renowned for his ability to play really high and REALLY loud) what his highest note was and why couldn’t he play just one note higher.

I may be getting myself in trouble by asking, “how many reps can you do and why can’t you do one rep more?”

    keep squattin’

    A few words..

-Meghan: I am humbled by your one-timer the other day. I have only caught up with posts this morning. That was one piece of brilliant trash-talk and I must admit that I set myself up for that unknowingly. Nevertheless, I will see you in Pittsburgh on New Years Day. I will be the one wearing a jersey from the team that did NOT almost move to Kansas City a few years ago. Repeat: Kansas City.

-John: I am happy to hear that the banner will rise. I am working on an MPH Hockey Night in the box and will contact you with details soon. Also, I will be in sometime over the next week or two for an ass-kicking. I have not been in for a visit as business is exploding right now and most of my WODS are being performed in airplane bathrooms. Needless to say my overhead squats are suffering.

-Christy: I did one of the Hopper wods yesterday at CFA that you and the rest of the MPH Champions did this past weekend. 30/20/10 95lb hang cleans and wall balls. Your time was posted on the white board as motivation…4:03 I think? My time was 10:06 meaning that within that difference one could have gone to Starbucks, ordered a latte, and called their mother to borrow money. I am humbled and in awe – and still trying to figure out how that time was physically possible.

-Christian: I will see you Sunday night…work hard this week my friend as I will be inspecting your pecs (by touch and visual analysis) so as to check on your progress.

StuLu: You should see my new blue Innov8’s with my LuLu capri’s.

I’m working on it man, I’m working on it. Don’t raise your expectations just yet, though. But you know what, even if pecs won’t show it yet, I will soon have to change my wardrobe: 2 months CF, 1 month Paleo, 10 pounds (almost) down.

      See you on Sunday. Ciao.

Stu-lu! Haha Thank you for your nice comments today and Monday…I personally am thrilled to be mentioned in the same post as Ovechin (sorry meg). I was thinking we might have gotten to see you at the hopper…since not, you have to come back to DC instead

The raising of the Caps banner at MPH came at a good time — last night’s 5-3 Caps victory places them solely in first place in the league.

Pffffff. I love it when I get home and realize that I forgot to carry the one when I did my arithmetic. I got 78 swings not 68. So, Mel, it looks like I hit 70 after all.

When did the swanky new FC background appear? Or, like FC, was it always there and I just missed it 🙂

I have to admit, I miss having multiple posts on the front page… it’s so much easier to browse. Any chance of getting them back?
