It turns out our “If you want it, come and get it” tag has a long and distinguished history: it was the slogan for the Texas Revolution, and dates back even further, to the Battle of Thermopylae between the Greeks and the Persians (480 BC–the Persian’s won, but the Greeks fought to the death under Spartan leadership. Kinda like Friday’s Fran-off, I hear).
1. Mike S is a stud.
2. Thanks AGAIN to the 8 am crew for their encouragement as I slogged through yet another shitfight of a wod (remember the 30 MU’s for time?) yesterday with candy. Not sweet at all but will still rot your teeth anyway.
And the most frustrating thing about finishing last? I don’t get to motivate and encourage and yell at you guys. I’ll get you all back soon enough though!

ps. i ate a deep fried avocado today and it was awesome
Steve you are too kind. But don’t we all have our good days and our bad? I’ve seen you crush it in the recent past, and I’m sure you will again soon. That’s what makes this sport so much fun, nobody can truly dominate every day. I think it’s also what makes the community gel — everybody gets their days to shine and to be humbled.
And dude, deep fried avocados are f-cking awesome!
