    Crossfit The-Gym-Keeps-Getting-Smaller
    For time:
    150 thrusters, 15-lb dbs

    Then, for time:
    200 double unders

    12:37, 20:18

Thrusters were awful, as promised, but the double unders were torture. For the first 8 minutes, I could not get any rope speed, and I missed as many as I made. I really wasn’t sure I was going to finish. But I kept working, doing single-double-single, or getting one or two at a time. Finally, at around 90, I was able to string together 4, then 6, and then finally 8-12. Still not awesome, but definite improvement over the early ones. I can’t be sure, but I suspect the thrusters taxed my arms more than I realized, slowing down my rope speed. There were about 45 seconds there where I couldn’t even do single-unders!

They have now crammed all the cardio machines, nautilus machines and dumbbells into an area about the size of the back room at MPH. And, tonight was the busiest I’ve seen it- at one point, 10 people were in there! I had to creep into the construction zone to do my DUs.
