    For anyone interested, you can watch powerlifting at the Arnold Sports Festival streaming live today through sunday via: http://www.powerliftingwatch.com/node/18229

    Today’s lifters are all lifting “raw,” which means without special equipment. Knee sleeves, wrist wraps, and belts are permitted because they do not give you an advantage. Today in the women are several world champions, including local gym-owner Sioux-e Hartwig-Gary of Supreme Sport and Performance Training in Rockville. Tomorrow will be the equipped invitational, with local MD lifter (and also friend) Alex Kang lifting in the men’s 148lb weight class.

    My workouts have been pretty crappy this week. I’m hoping it’s just a bad week, combined with having what might have food poisoning for about 245 hours, and not some overall massive loss of fitness.
