Just in case you need to get a bit pumped up for these deadlifts today, this is a world record RAW 1015lb (yes) deadlift! Even for this superheavy, it’s at least 2.5x bodyweight.

    CrossFit LifeSpark
Shoulder press, work up to a heavy set of 5
I did 88lbs rather comfortably, probably could have gone a little heavier, but I didn’t think I could 99, which was my next option with only 2.5kg plates

    then, for time:
    21-15-9
    front squat @22lbs
    pull-up (I subbed 15-12-9)

around 5 minutes; I forgot to pay attention to the actual time. On the plus side, I can still do pull-ups! I really wasn’t sure, because I’ve only done about 10 total kipping pull-ups since I’ve been here, so this workout was re-assuring.

After the workout, we did about an hour of tumbling/ gymnastics. You will not be surprised to learn that I cannot do pistols on the balance beam. No injury, though.

Doing pistols on the balance beam… sounds like an effective birth control method.

A couple of the gentlemen in the class shared your concern. It’s only an issue, though, if you screw it up. Call it Motivation.

    In honor of Tamra.
Scene: my dad + I golfing this afternoon.

    Pop: “Aim for the hole.”
Me: [in my head, because, dude, he’s my dad] “That’s what she said.”
