    Longsleeves,

Congratulations again on earning your shirt—in the 7p, no less. Amazing! Do you think we’ll ever see you in that thing? You could always wear long sleeves under it.

And, thank you for the kind words in yesterday’s post. We’re grateful to be able to work with you, and look forward to the coming year.

Also, we need to truncate that nickname. I’ll work on it.

    John

a mere twelve hours earlier, “jason, you’re going to miss an awesome class tonight.” “…john, it’s not like i wanted to get up at 5am this morning– give my regards to the 7p.”

      SON OF A–

it was like you had a prophetic vision of the future– an eerie one involving cleaning a lot of weight. can we hone that skill for.. like.. lotto numbers or something?

i’m super bummed that i missed this. since switching from an early bird to a night owl, the 7p class has become one of the more awesome experiences i’ve participated in. of the 4 shirts i’ve seen earned, 3 were at a 7p class. how nuts is that?

i’ve been in competitive sports for 20 years… from martial arts to swimming to baseball… and i have rarely seen a set of athletes as enthusiastic and driven as i have in the 7p. we’re a little nuts, and i think that works towards our advantage. simply put, the insanity of the 7pers has created a mini army of badassery.

i would have loved to seen a 5th shirt earned. i can only imagine the drive and determination Mike showed last night. every shirt i’ve seen presented to an athlete has been at the peak of an extreme effort or show of exceptional sportsmanship and camaraderie. it’s always an awesome experience, even (or especially?) for the bystanders. i guess i’ll just have to make sure i’m there to witness the next shirt. which will undoubtedly happen at a 7p class.

Congratulations, Michael! I think “sleeves” may be the logical shortened version of “longsleeves,” unless you go with the unexpected “Mr. Longsleeves.” (a la “Mr. Greenjeans)

Loved this on The Daily Show last night! And as a PR guy, I’m constantly amazed when companies put idiots like the Planet Fitness spokeswoman on, especially The Daily Show.

    I did the wod with two 20 kgs dumbells (or 88lbs): 3:27, 4:59, 6:09

I was dead after the workout. This time I couldn’t take the stairs to go up to the 20th floor (could barely get to the elevator!)
