From the Mid-Atlantic Hopper Challenge’s Facebook page:
“We also want to say thank you to our top male and female winners this year. The first place male, female and team were each awarded a check for $500 in prize money. Jeff Tincher and Christy Phillips graciously donated their winnings to the Zach Miller Fund.
Zach is an amazing athlete who placed third in the 2010 Mid-Atlantic Hopper Challenge. He was in a terrible car accident this year and has a long road to recovery ahead of him. This money will hopefully make recovery a little easier financially. Thanks again, Jeff and Christy.”

By request, your moment of strength. If you’re at work, you may want to put headphones in (Melody’s song choice).

hahaha and we wonder why the residents of church st. love us so much.
Oh Karen. I love you, and I’ll be waiting for your return. With that, I have one tip for anyone doing this in the later classes: It only hurts when you stop moving. I had a fly and die on today’s WOD, but I learned that I still have the ability to give it my all with intensity and to not let my mind get in the way, and that’s worth something, too.
Agreed. I’m embarrassed to admit that halfway through this one, I told myself I wouldn’t be able to finish it, and it was all over from there. Until we meet again, Karen …
