Holiday Weekend – December 23, 2012 – January 1, 2013

***Important Announcement***
MPH will be closed from Monday, December 24 through Tuesday, January 1.

  • This will be an important, prescribed rest for all of us, athletes and coaches, as there is no “off season” in our sport. Rest and recovery are essential to maintaining the mental and physical intensity required for long-term success. There will be no posted workouts during this time, and instead, a programmed break from all CrossFit activities.
  • We will resume a normal workout schedule on Wednesday, January 2, 2012.

We hope that the videos over the last few days (Thursday, Friday) have helped show all of you how much progress you have made!

Over the holidays especially, we believe it is important for those who can to give to members of the community who may not be as fortunate. Our annual food and clothing drive for Bread for the City, organized by Christine and David S., was a great success—thank you, both.

Finally, thank you for all of your hard work and continued support this year. We are exiting it stronger, and more excited than ever. It is truly our pleasure to work with such a fine group of people. Rest, remember and look forward to the coming year.

Happy Holidays! For those doing the Paleo Challenge (or even if you are not but want some support for your nutrition goals), I’m plugging the Paleo Eaters Anonymous blog again. It is only MPH members, password protected, a place to post your food log and ask questions or get good ideas. Contact me at ivy dot lange at gmail dot com to be added to the blog. Also, if you haven’t already seen it, the Whole9 website lists community support as one of the top things a gym needs for a successful nutrition challenge! http://whole9life.com/2012/12/nine-steps-to-a-successful-nutrition-challenge-2/ Join this ready-made resource and be a success!
