The CrossFit Open is the largest worldwide CrossFit event each year. MPH is proud to participate in this global event and we want you to be a part of the fun!
Each week, we will complete the worldwide CrossFit Open workout on Fridays in every class. While this workout is challenging, we will have plenty of scaling options to make it doable for every single member of our gym!
- CrossFit.com announces the workout for next week’s Open workout on Thursdays at 3pm.
- Signing up officially on CrossFit.com for the Open is not required to participate in the The Open at MPH, but we encourage it!
This year, you will be drafted onto one of three teams at MPH, and throughout CrossFit Open Season (2/25-3/14), the three teams will compete against each other for bragging rights! By 2/2/26: you will receive a separate email with your team assignment & full team rosters.
Teams will be scored in four categories: (1) attendance, (2) spirit, (3) Open workout results, and (4) weekly special challenges. Here’s a little more detail about each scoring opportunity:
(1) Attendance: come to any class for the weekly Open workout on Fridays. Every participant who shows up from a team scores 1 point for their team. These will be held on:
- Friday, 2/27 (26.1)
- Friday, 3/6 (26.2)
- Friday, 3/13 (26.3)
(2) Spirit: wear your team color on Fridays during The Open. You may also figure out other ways to show team spirit, such as creative accessories, a team playlist, social media videos, a team chant, etc. Your team has the opportunity to score an additional 5 points for Spirit each week — this will be judged by our Open Scoring Team.
(3) Open workout results: the top 3 Rx and the top 3 scaled finishers will each score their teams an additional 2 points per person for each Open workout.
(4) There will be a weekly challenge announced each week of the Open. If you complete the challenge, you will score your team up to .5 additional points.
